26:1 齐弗人来到基贝亚见撒乌耳说：「达味藏在旷野边缘哈基拉山中。
Men from Ziph came to Saul in Gibeah, reporting that David was hiding on the hill of Hachilah at the edge of the wasteland.

26:2 撒乌耳遂动身下到齐弗旷野，同他去的有三千以色列精兵，在齐弗旷野搜捕达味。
So Saul went off down to the desert of Ziph with three thousand picked men of Israel, to search for David in the desert of Ziph.

26:3 撒乌耳在旷野边缘哈基拉山上，靠路旁扎了营。当时达味住在旷野里，他得知撒乌耳来到旷野搜捕自己，
Saul camped beside the road on the hill of Hachilah, at the edge of the wasteland. David, who was living in the desert, saw that Saul had come into the desert after him

26:4 遂派出侦探，因而得知撒乌耳确已来到。
and sent out scouts, who confirmed Saul’s arrival.

26:5 达味遂起身来到撒乌耳扎营的地方，察看撒乌耳和他的统帅乃尔的儿子阿贝乃尔睡觉的地方：撒乌耳睡在行营中心，他的部队驻扎在他的四周。
David himself then went to the place where Saul was encamped and examined the spot where Saul and Abner, son of Ner, the general, had their sleeping quarters. Saul’s were within the barricade, and all his soldiers were camped around him.

26:6 达味就问赫特人阿希默肋客和责鲁雅的儿子约阿布的兄弟阿彼瑟说：「谁同我下到撒乌耳的营中去﹖」阿彼瑟答说：「我同你下去。」。
David asked Ahimelech the Hittite, and Abishai, son of Zeruiah and brother of Joab, "Who will go down into the camp with me to Saul?" Abishai replied, "I will."

26:7 达味和阿彼瑟便在夜间深入敌营，见撒乌耳睡卧在行营的中心，他的枪插在头旁地上，阿贝乃尔和部队环绕他睡在四周。
So David and Abishai went among Saul’s soldiers by night and found Saul lying asleep within the barricade, with his spear thrust into the ground at his head and Abner and his men sleeping around him.

26:8 阿彼瑟对达味说：「今天天主将你的仇人交在你手里了!如今让我用他的枪，把他钉在地上，只一下，不需要给他第二下。」。
Abishai whispered to David: "God has delivered your enemy into your grasp this day. Let me nail him to the ground with one thrust of the spear; I will not need a second thrust!"

26:9 达味却对阿彼瑟说：「不可杀他!因为谁敢伸手加害上主的受傅者，而能无罪呢﹖」
But David said to Abishai, "Do not harm him, for who can lay hands on the LORD’s anointed and remain unpunished?

26:10 达味又说：「我指着永生的上主起誓：只有上主可打击他，或到了他的日子；终于死去，或下到战场阵亡。
As the LORD lives," David continued, "it must be the LORD himself who will strike him, whether the time comes for him to die, or he goes out and perishes in battle.

26:11 在上主前，我决不愿伸手加害上主的受傅者。现今，你快拿去他头旁的枪和水壶，我们就离去」。
But the LORD forbid that I touch his anointed! Now take the spear which is at his head and the water jug, and let us be on our way."

26:12 达味遂从撒乌耳头旁拿了枪和水壶，二人就走了。谁也没有看见，谁也没有理会，谁也没有醒来，都沉睡了，因为上主使他们沉入睡梦中。
So David took the spear and the water jug from their place at Saul’s head, and they got away without anyone’s seeing or knowing or awakening. All remained asleep, because the LORD had put them into a deep slumber.

26:13 达味走到对面，远远站在山头上，他们彼此相隔很远，
Going across to an opposite slope, David stood on a remote hilltop at a great distance from Abner, son of Ner, and the troops.

26:14 达味于是向军队和乃尔的儿子阿贝乃尔喊说：「阿贝乃尔!你不答应吗﹖」阿贝乃尔答说：「你是谁﹖竟敢吵醒君王!」
He then shouted, "Will you not answer, Abner?" And Abner answered, "Who is it that calls me?"

26:15 达味对阿贝乃尔说：「你不是个好汉吗﹖以色列中有谁能与你相比﹖民间来了一个要杀害你的主上君王的，你为什么没有好好护守你的主上君王﹖
David said to Abner: "Are you not a man whose like does not exist in Israel? Why, then, have you not guarded your lord the king when one of his subjects went to kill the king, your lord?

26:16 这事你实在做的实在不对!我指着永生的上主起誓：你们都该死，因为你们没有好好护守你们的主子，上主的受傅者。现今，你去看一看君王的枪在那里﹖头旁的水壶又在哪里﹖」
This is no creditable service you have performed. As the LORD lives, you people deserve death because you have not guarded your lord, the LORD’s anointed. Go, look: where are the king’s spear and the water jug that was at his head?"

26:17 撒乌耳认出是达味的声音，就说：「我儿达味，这不是你的声音吗﹖」达味答说：「我主大王，是我的声音。」。
Saul recognized David’s voice and asked, "Is that your voice, my son David?" David answered, "Yes, my lord the king."

26:18 遂接着说：「我主为什么迫害他的仆人﹖我究竟作了什么恶事﹖
He continued: "Why does my lord pursue his servant? What have I done? What evil do I plan?

26:19 如今请我主大王听他仆人一句话：如果是上主感动你来害我，愿他收纳这个祭献；但是；若是人煽惑你，他们在上主面前是该诅咒的，因为他们今日将我驱逐，不容我分享上主的产业，无异是说：你去，事奉外邦的神罢!
Please, now, let my lord the king listen to the words of his servant. If the LORD has incited you against me, let an offering appease him; but if men, may they be cursed before the LORD, because they have exiled me so that this day I have no share in the LORD’s inheritance, but am told: 'Go serve other gods!'

26:20 现今，愿我的血不流在离上主很远的地方，因为以色列的君王出来猎取我的性命，就如人在山上猎取鹧鸪!」
Do not let my blood flow to the ground far from the presence of the LORD. For the king of Israel has come out to seek a single flea as if he were hunting partridge in the mountains."

26:21 撒乌耳说：「我儿达味，我犯了罪，你回去罢!我再不加害你了!因为你今天实在珍惜了我的性命。哎!我太昏愚，实在错了!」
Then Saul said: "I have done wrong. Come back, my son David, I will not harm you again, because you have held my life precious today. Indeed, I have been a fool and have made a serious mistake."

26:22 达味答说：「这里有大王的枪，叫一个仆人来拿去。
But David answered: "Here is the king’s spear. Let an attendant come over to get it.

26:23 愿上主报答各人的正义和忠诚!因为今天上主把你交在我手里，我却不愿加害上主的受傅者。
The LORD will reward each man for his justice and faithfulness. Today, though the LORD delivered you into my grasp, I would not harm the LORD’s anointed.

26:24 请看!我今天怎样看重了你的性命，也愿上主怎样看重我的性命，从一切忧患中拯救我!」
As I valued your life highly today, so may the LORD value my life highly and deliver me from all difficulties."

26:25 撒乌耳对达味说：「我儿达味，你实在是可赞美的，你必有所作为，也必有成就。」然后达味走了，撒乌耳也回了家。
Then Saul said to David: "Blessed are you, my son David! You shall certainly succeed in whatever you undertake." David went his way, and Saul returned to his home.
